The Vikings of Bjornstad – The Vikings of Bjornstad is a living history and educational group, concentrating on the Viking age – from 793 through 1066 AD. We strive for an authentic presentation of the culture, weapons and crafts from a thousand years ago, including Viking, Norman and Anglo-Saxon re-enactment.
Vikings North America – The Vikings of North America reenactment organization was formed to share knowledge of these amazing explorers and to fairly represent the peoples we collectively refer to as Vikings. We cultivate all the skills needed to survive in the Viking era and we share what we have learned freely with anyone interested. Our goal is to educate ourselves and others about the challenges these explorers and settlers faced and about the historical realities of life in the Viking age.
The Vikings UK – The Vikings is a re-enactment Society dedicated to recreating the life and times of the Dark Age period, not only the battles and skirmishes of the period, but also the dress, crafts and every-day life of the different peoples of that time. Founded in 1971, The Vikings are the oldest and largest Dark Age re-enactment society in the UK … and probably the world!
The Vikings Vinland – The Vikings – Vinland Society is an organization focused on developing and presenting the reconstructed lifestyle and culture of the Vikings. Our aim is to provide an accurate and educational portrayal of the Viking period, with an equal emphasis on the daily life of the period, and on the more warlike aspects of life in what was a formative period in European history.
REGIA ANGLORUM – For over three decades, Regia Anglorum has been re-creating early mediaeval history for audiences around the world. We have skilled, properly equipped and highly motivated men and women of all ages who celebrate the very best of life a thousand years ago! In a twenty-first century context Regia Anglorum is a nationwide society with many independent local groups, from Scotland to the English Channel. Our goal is to portray all aspects of life; from warriors, striding the place of slaughter, to workers, whose daily tasks were the backbone of early mediaeval society, we seek to portray all aspects of life in ages past.
RAVENSBORG – Ravensborg is the name of a replica Viking Age fort in northern Missouri. While not permanently inhabited, the site is used to recreate a Viking Age fortification allowing living history enthusiasts to experience Medieval life in a longhouse for short periods. Various Viking reenactment groups gather here for twice-yearly by invitation celebrations in April and October. Participants are required to wear period clothing, participate in traditional crafts, eat historical foods, and essentially live an early Medieval lifestyle. Those trained in live-steel combat techniques may participate in such activities there as well.
Marobud – Marobud is a group of historical reconstruction, fencing and crafts, which focuses on the Viking Age, specifically in the area of Norway in the 10th century. Hurstwic – Hurstwic began life as an historically accurate living history group, started by Ron Black and Casey Dorman. The name Hurstwic was chosen based on Anglo-Saxon place names but has no meaning other than that.
